The Heart of Ohio Tailwinds Bike Club offers two weekly rides. Helmets are mandatory, and riders must have signed a liability release. Children must be accompanied by an adult. We'd love to have you along!
This ride starts before the heat of the day. Rides start as soon as the weather is nice in the spring. Early rides are about 25 or 30 miles, while later rides may go 50 miles or more. Speeds vary depending who shows up, but 13 to 14 mph is typical Riders meet at McKinley Park by the playground at 8 a.m. on Saturdays. McKinley Park is located by Marion General Hospital. Sunday Joy Rides
A “Show & Go” ride. Riders meet at 12:45 p.m. at McKinley Park by the playground and pick a destination. This ride goes most Sundays during the warmer months, and occasionally during the “off-season” Speed and distance depend on who shows up, but 12 to 14 mph is typical. Past rides have gone to covered bridges, eagle's nests, wildlife areas, and antique stores. McKinley Park is located by Marion General Hospital. For more information, call (740) 382-5330. |
